PURSUANT TO SECTION 42 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT R.S.P.E.I. 1988, CAP. M-12.1., AND SUBSECTION 25(1) OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION REGULATIONS
Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Rural Municipalities of Breadalbane, Darlington, Hampshire, Hunter River and North Wiltshire, that a Municipal Election will be held for each municipality on November 5, 2018 to elect the mayor and 6 councillors for the Rural Municipalities of Breadalbane, Darlington, Hampshire, Hunter River and North Wiltshire for the term of office terminating on the 6th day of the month that follows the next general election.
The nomination period for the council positions noted above commences on Wednesday, October 10th, 2018 and closes at 2:00 pm on Nomination Day on Friday, October 19th, 2018
Nominations shall only be received during office hours at the election office, located at the Hunter River Municipal Office at 19816 Route 2, in Hunter River.
The election office hours shall be:
Tuesdays- 10:00 am to 1 pm and 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Saturdays- 10:00 am to 1:00 pm
Friday, October 19th, 2018- 9:00 am – 2:00 pm (nominations close)
Friday, October 26th, 2018- 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
The deadline for correcting elector information shall be no later than 11:59 am on Tuesday, October 23, 2018.
