NOTICE OF extended NOMINATION PROCEEDINGS

PURSUANT TO SECTION 42 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT, AND SUBSECTION 25(1) OF THE MUNICIPAL ELECTION REGULATIONS

Public notice is hereby given to the electors of the Rural Municipality of Hunter River and the Rural Municipality of North Wiltshire that Municipal Elections will be held on Monday, November 7, 2022 to elect 6 councillors for each the Rural Municipality of Hunter River and the Rural Municipality of North Wiltshire for the term of office terminating on the 6th day of December, 2026.

The nomination period for the council positions noted above commences on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 and closes at 2:00 pm on Nomination Day on Friday, October 28, 2022.

Nominations can be received at the election office at 19816 Route 2, Hunter River (Hunter River Community Centre) by the Municipal Electoral Officer at the following times:

· Monday, October 24, 2022 9am -2pm, Tuesday, October 25 9am-2pm and 6pm-7:30 pm

· Wednesday, October 26, 2022 9am to 2pm, Thursday October 27, 2022 9am to 2 pm,

· Friday, October 28, 2022 9am to 2pm

The deadline for correcting elector information shall be no later than 11:59 am on Tuesday, October 25, 2022.
