Emergency Management Plan for the Municipality

Under the Municipal Government Act that came into effect in December of 2017, municipalities are required to put in place an Emergency Management Plan. As part of this plan, council needs to take stock of what resources and skills we have within available within North Wiltshire. Some of the resources that we need to account for are the following: snowmobile owners, ATV owners, Buses, heavy equipment owners/operators, generator owners, construction contractors, plumbers, electricians, amateur radio operators, doctors, nurses, first aid providers, veterinarians, clergy, volunteer organizations, clubs and any others that would be available to call upon for assistance in event of an emergency. If you would be willing to provide use of any of these resources or skills please let us know by calling our CAO at 902-621-2170 or admin.hunter.river@gmail.com. You can also indicate this as part of the resident survey.
